The New GOLD button (how to post content for Gold Members only)

    Here I will tell you about the the new "GOLD" ("STG" was the old one) button that now appears in the tool bar when creating a new thread:

    This was introduced because it was requested and it gives you the possibility to hide your links so that they will be visible to Gold Members only.
    This is completely up to you so you can use the normal "HIDE" button or the "GOLD" button as you see fit.

    This new "GOLD" button replaces the old "STG" button. The content inside is only shown to the Gold Members, Moderators and Administrators.

    Note: It is no longer required to also use "HIDE" tags inside "GOLD" tags. Using "GOLD" tags is enough now because Gold Members will also have to click "Like" to see the content (besides being Gold).

    Remember to also put the "Gold" prefix for the thread.

    As usual you will always see your own content as unhidden.

    If I want a post I made not to be gold anymore how do I change the title, to remove Gold prefix from it? I edit the way link will show, but I can't edit the title.

    At the top right of your thread you have a drop down tab called Thread Tools > Edit Title

    Thought about this too, unless you get TP or like points per "gold likes", there's no point in gold tagging.

    One benefit is to throttle or slow down the leaking to other sites. It's going to get leaked, but at least you have to be GOLD to access it. It really just depends on the content for me whether I choose GOLD or regular link.

    Does Gold content become regular after a while automatically or is it just the TO who controlls it?

    It depends on the content.
