Francesca Angrisano is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Italy. Her pictures ooze poetry and carry the delicacy of old paintings. Humble and calm as a person, her photographs have a beautiful melody that is emphasized by her use of blurred movements and the perfection of the imperfect.

“My pictures try to capture the magic of Pre-Raphaelite painters and the enchantment of their feminine figures, so melancholic and unapproachable, but still close to reality in a palette of pure, evanescent colors.
Sure, there needs to be a great picture at the start, and in my opinion editing is of capital importance in digital photography. I persist in taking care of it all by myself, because every single shot of every single session deserves my utmost attention. I am also convinced that what really matters in a picture is the emotion it conveys. So, in the post-production process I try to recreate a sophisticated mood and a sensually soft outdoor light. This presets pack intends to be a helping hand for photographers who are already in love with impalpable atmospheres and pale complexions, but wish to find the key to a more dreamlike, sometimes dramatic mood in their work.”

How to use Poetico ?

Each preset is designed to have a more muted color palette and aims to create soft, delicate atmospheres, with little to medium contrast. The presets can be used indoor or outdoor. I personally prefer diffuse daylight and avoid direct sunlight when I work - therefore shady areas or cloudy days are the perfect match for these looks.

Afrodite and Era have slightly warmer tones whereas Aura, Dioniso, Calliope and Ebe are less desaturated. Venere is the preset with more softness and grain, and it is ideal to obtain fluid, dream-like atmospheres.
Apollo is the only monochrome as I believe black and white stand for solemn divinity, that is why he is the god of the sun and the arts. It has slightly warm tones of brown with deep shades and intense black.
