What is the future of the photography profession with the presence of emerging artificial intelligence applications?

In 22 years and 8 months - we'll all be shooting film . . . and our present-day perception of "ugly" will be considered a very unique (and desired) attribute . . . ;)

I predict portrait photography will be dead. There will be photo booths in shopping malls that will take a 3D image of your face -- or an iPhone app that will do that for you. Then you drop that 3D file into your favorite app along with your voice description of the kind of scene you want to have, and the app will render your portrait without the need of a professional photographer. But photographing events like weddings will still be around.

We presently live in an era of filters and "retouching" where the goal is rare natural beauty. Ai will undoubtedly further null our respective unique differences - thereby [from a photographically enhanced perspective] we'll seek out the banal or 'ugly' for it's to-be refreshingly defined individuality.
