    Originally published in 1941 under title: A guide to better photography.

    Best known for her black and white photography of the architecture of New York City in the 1930's, Abbott's work chronicles buildings and neighborhoods that have since disappeared. This volume includes Abbott's own images as well as those from Ansel Adams, Eugene Atget and others.
