Dehancer uses actual prints to make their profiles. That's why. They have a different way of doing things.

 

Yeah thats what everybody in the film print emulation industry says. They profile their own stuff, they have to find non existent film stocks from Beethoven's era which have been discontinued and all the jazz. I dont know how much of it is legit but right out of the box filmverse, filmbox, look designer works without much tweaking but not dehancer. You can even check them by putting all of them to emulate 2383 stock and see how much each one diverge from one another. That doesn't mean its necessarily bad but it is what it is. I've been comparing them from time to time, trying to implement on my node-tree. I love dehancer's bloom, it perfectly sits with scatter and filmbox's halation.

But Beethoven's film wouldn't have all that jazz... Just all classical.

Dehancer does their profiles with different papers. Like I said .. They do their own thing and I admire that.

As for accuracy... The stuff I've seen from Film box and Colour Lab are excellent.
