False Color Utility LUT Pack for Advanced Retouching

This is a set of false-color utility LUTs that can make you a better, and more consistent retoucher. We have been using these in my studio:

    • for consistent exposure,
    • to find hidden blemishes,
    • to see hue, saturation, and luminosity separate from each other,
    • for color correction and grading,
    • and to create complex masks based on any of these values.
This is a collection that I have been working WITH and ON the last 6 years or so, and I anticipate to continuing to do so for a long time. If I could go back in time, this would be the most important toolset I could give my past self.

The False Color Utility LUT Pack for Advanced Retouching includes:
    • 6 false-color utility LUTs (for exposure, luminosity, hue, saturation, color, and solar)
    • File format of above mentioned LUTs: .cube, .icc, .3dl
    • Documentation with explanations on recommended use and installation
    • Possible future updates
As these LUTs are utilitarian and not stylistic, I'd recommend only using them at the retouching stage in either Adobe Photoshop or Affinity Photo. They can be used in video editing, as well, but that functionality hasn't been tested. Theoretically, you can apply these in Adobe Camera Raw, Adobe Lightroom, or Capture One, but it isn't recommended.

I'm still wondering what the advantage of these would be to regular solar curves or luminosity/colour layers in Photoshop.

I found a similar false colour LUT:

After having tinkered with 3D LUT Creator I have a solar LUT, one does not need to be a genius to do this one :p

Yeah. You have a point. But certain Help layers / visual aids do help you to produce consistent quality images. if you have already developed an eye for it, then these may not be required.
The D&B LUT provided in liquid verve 2.0 tutorial is really helping me to produce a smooth transition.
If you have similar layers, can you share with the group @Jack Smith

@ Phlearn they have been using false colours for a long time:
    https://youtu.be/MbOJyvDB63k

The one in this video is visually similar to the colour LUT from Victor, but it's being used for hue adjustments.

Guys. I have created an action for above check layers till we get the LUTs.
Think this might be of some use.

Turns out that PiXimperfect has a video about this subject with a free action that creates 4 of the 6 effects:
    https://youtu.be/fKc4VHY0vAI

Using that action, creating a luminosity layer as explained in the Phlearnvideo, and the action provided by @Mystic Wolf then we have all the effects in action form.
I have compared them to the GIF in the Gumroad link and they are around 95 to 100% similar
