MediaCoder Pro H.264 & H.265 Video Encoder WINx64

Is this Media Coder Premium Basic or Plus? My guess is it's Plus cause the H.265.

The latest version is 0.8.63 Released on 2 JAN 2021 I think. Which version is this?

Looked it up. It's: MediaCoder-Pro-x64-8.52.5920-CE

@stevestone Do you have some favorite H.265 settings? I want to compress some 4K online class recordings.

 

@mwla it is new enough to support H.265. Here is my settings. Feel free to ask if u have further questions.

 

Masterful.

Converted a 2 hour 5 gig file to 250Mb in 4K crystal clear and 170Mb 1080p but text a little blurry. Vast success.
Will try to natively record 1080p next time to see if I can get that file size with no blur.

 

You can get better quality by just increasing Video Bitrate. Instead of 1000 kbps try 1500 or 2000.

 

I think that the text blurring comes from downsizing, which native 1080p recording might take care of while keeping the filesize down. Or from playing the 1080 on a 4k screen. Or a mix of the two.

Man, this is strange. I got the 250Mb filesize by using h.264, not h.265. And it upped my fps from 11 to 25. Using h.265 gives me 310Mb filesize, other settings the same. And keeping fps same as original by checking "Decrease Only" with h.264 gives a 344Mb filesize. Forcing the h.264 to 10fps gives the same 250Mb filesize and twice the processing time :|

Anyway, I'm happy. h.264, NVENC, 4k and leave the fps on 'original' which ups it to 25fps.. I don't get it, but I've tried a bunch of these converters before with mixed results and is the reason I asked for advice.
