Penalty for Dead Links?

    Is there a penalty for dead links in terms of likes or anything else?

    Couldn't find the answer in this section.I need to free up space in my mega account, so I need to delete some stuff. Would be great if someone could create some mirrors of my stuff.

    no penalty i know of.....track the posts you will delete links to and request mirrors.

    Free MEGA accounts are 15GB, MEGA will let you go over that amount but after a while it will tell you that you are over the limit (15GB).
    So whatever you delete won't get you space back until you hit that 15GB mark.
    It's best to create a new account.

    It is now specified in the rules.
    If a bad link is not fixed in one month, half of the likes in that thread are lost.

    one month from when? I've had likes removed and not even notified of same.

    Dead threads, off topic, and older request threads are being removed, you might have posts in those threads with likes.

    I had my Mega account and Google account deleted. I still have all content backed up but don't have the means and/or time to go through all my threads and fix every link. But am more than willing to fix links to threads that get a reply asking for mirror as I get email notifications for all threads I have made.
