Guys, start backing up your files. Esp. for those who have latest versions, Windows 11 will be free for upgrades according to Microsoft.

Me, I would like to panic now! I really hate having a clean installation. There's a lot of things to do.

I'm gonna get a whole new computer and start afresh . . . it'll take me a year and a half to organize everything. Remember, "key-wording" is your friend . . . :p

From my experience, I use so many tweaks to debloat and fix user experience on windows 10 to make it look and feel more like windows 7, it makes the os lighter as I removed all the unnecessary services and metro apps running in the background.
I think this tweaks will become stable as windows 11 matures, I tried win 11 on first launch, it wasn't smooth, so maybe I will try again in a year or so.

Ah yes; bring back Windows for Workgroups or MsDOS 6. The last two stable MS platforms.
I might be giving my age away, there. ;)

Already updated an old build with haswell, no TPM, no secure boot, just by using Universal Media Creation tool.bat on github.
Upgraded straight from 10 with no issues or data loss. Smooth as butter and I'm also receiving updates.

I had to register to Windows Insider and show a little creativity, but Win 11 is running smooth as butter on my laptop, no problems so far, everything works like it should.

Hmm, even though I have an I7 - 6700 processor, MS say my PC doesn't meet the requirements. The earliest I7 supported are the 7xxx series. Maybe will have to invest in a new laptop, next year. At least it gives a while for the initial o/s bugs to be ironed out.

No need to invest in anything. Just use this script to create an original ISO with TPM and secure boot bypass.

    Script here.
It has even an auto mode inside the iso to automate upgrade from 10 to 11, w/o losing anything at all.

I have a 10 year old Laptop windows 7. In Fiji it takes about 7-10 months after the rest of the world gets updates.

I will wait a vew months, most new releases are having tiny bugs. And I expect that they will lower the minimum requested specs.
My CPU is not supported, its not a big problem, I still getting updates on the usual way and if not there are some handy tools outside that make my life more easy.

I will hold off on it, since it seems to have some critical bugs that will impact the day to day operation of the PC. The alleged performance loss on Ryzen systems should not have happened to start with.

Besides, no software requires W11 just yet, so I figure it's better to let the bugs work out first.
